Description

These Classic New England Lobster Rolls bring the essence of the coast right to your table. Featuring tender chunks of lobster coated in melted butter and fresh herbs, these rolls are the epitome of simple luxury. The combination of chives and dill adds a bright, fresh flavor, while a squeeze of lemon juice elevates the taste with a tangy zest.

Ingredients

Scale

3 cups chopped cooked lobster (from 78 4oz tails)
3 tablespoons melted butter*
1 tablespoon fresh chopped chives
½ tablespoon fresh chopped dill
Juice from ½ lemon
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 soft hotdog-style buns (I recommend Hawaiian hotdog buns)

Instructions

Prepare the Lobster: Cook the lobster tails using your preferred method (steaming, boiling, or grilling). Once cooked, chop the lobster meat into bite-sized chunks.
Mix the Lobster Filling: In a bowl, toss the chopped lobster meat with melted butter, fresh chives, dill, salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon juice. Ensure the lobster is well-coated with the butter and herbs.
Prepare the Buns: Brush the inside of the hotdog buns with melted butter. Place the buns in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 4-5 minutes to warm them up.
Assemble the Lobster Rolls: Spoon the warm lobster mixture into the prepared buns. Garnish with extra chopped chives if desired.
Serve: Serve the lobster rolls warm, and enjoy a taste of the New England coast in every bite!
