Directions:

  3. Incorporate the wet ingredients: Mix in 50g of egg and 1 tsp of vanilla extract until fully blended.
  4. Add the baking powder: Stir in 2g of baking powder to the mixture.
  5. Divide the dough: Split the dough into two equal parts. To one part, add 15g of cocoa powder and 95g of flour. To the other part, add 110g of flour.
  6. Mix in the chocolate: Fold 150g of chopped dark chocolate chunks into both portions of dough.
  7. Chill if needed: If the dough is too sticky to handle, refrigerate it for about 30 minutes.
  8. Prepare the baking ring: Place a 20cm (8-inch) baking ring on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  9. Form the marbled effect: Alternate placing balls of vanilla and chocolate dough around the ring, starting with the edges and then filling in the center.
  10. Initial bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
  11. Add pecan nuts: After the initial baking period, sprinkle 35g of pecan nuts over the top and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  12. Cool and serve: Remove the pie from the oven, lift off the ring, and let it cool on a rack for 30 minutes before serving.
