Description

Miso Butter Salmon is a deliciously rich and savory dish, featuring tender salmon fillets glazed with a buttery miso mixture infused with ginger, garlic, and sweet brown sugar. Perfectly caramelized in the oven or air fryer, this dish is great served with rice and veggies for a balanced meal.

Ingredients

Scale

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
3 tablespoons white miso paste
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoons fresh ginger, grated
12 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons green onions, sliced thin

Instructions

Make the miso butter: In a medium bowl, combine softened butter, miso paste, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and green onions. Mash together with a spatula until well combined.
Prepare the salmon: Divide the miso butter evenly among the salmon fillets. Use a butter knife or spatula to spread the butter mixture over the top of each fillet.
For oven cooking:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Place the salmon fillets in a large skillet or baking dish.
Bake for 12-15 minutes until the salmon is opaque and almost done.
Broil on high for 1-2 minutes to caramelize the top.
For air fryer cooking:
Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper or foil, and place the salmon fillets inside.
Cook for 9-10 minutes without turning.
Serve: Transfer cooked salmon to a platter and drizzle any remaining miso butter over the top. Garnish with extra green onions, sesame seeds, and serve with steamed rice and vegetables.
