Description

These Mozzarella Bites are the ultimate cheesy snack! With a perfectly crispy panko crust and gooey, melted mozzarella inside, they’re ideal for a quick appetizer, party snack, or indulgent treat. Serve them with marinara sauce for dipping, and you have a crowd-pleaser that’s impossible to resist.

Ingredients

Scale

1 package Mozzarella string cheese (12 count)
2 cups Panko bread crumbs
2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon parsley
1 cup milk
1 cup all-purpose flour
Marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought)
Oil for frying

Instructions

Cut each mozzarella string cheese stick into 1-inch pieces.
Prepare your coating station: pour the milk into a bowl. In one plastic bag, add 1 cup of flour. In a separate bag, mix 2 cups of panko bread crumbs with Italian seasoning and parsley.
Dip a handful of cheese pieces into the milk to coat, then toss them into the flour bag and shake well to cover.
Return the floured cheese bites to the milk bowl for a second coating, ensuring they are fully covered.
Transfer the milk-coated bites into the panko bag and shake until evenly coated with bread crumbs.
Place the mozzarella bites on a plate or in a bag and freeze for at least 2 hours to ensure they hold together during frying.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the frozen mozzarella bites in the hot oil until golden brown. Be careful not to overcook, or the cheese may melt out of the breading.
Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
