One-Pot Teriyaki Noodles

  • Author: Dulcia
  • Total Time: 30 minutes

Description

These One-Pot Teriyaki Noodles are the ultimate solution for a quick, flavorful dinner. Packed with shredded cabbage and carrots, and coated in a savory-sweet teriyaki sauce, this dish brings together the best of both worlds: ease and taste. The noodles cook directly in the sauce, absorbing all those rich flavors while saving you time on cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale

½ green cabbage, shredded
2 carrots, shredded
1 teaspoon olive oil
⅔ cup soy sauce
½ cup brown sugar
½ teaspoon ground mustard
1 teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon garlic powder
16 oz spaghetti (1-pound box)
3 ½ cups water
1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

Heat a large pot over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the olive oil, shredded cabbage, and carrots. Sauté for about 5 minutes until the vegetables start to become tender.
Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, ground mustard, ginger, and garlic powder to the pot. Stir to combine.
Add the spaghetti to the pot (you can break the spaghetti in half for easier stirring if desired). Pour in 3 ½ cups of water.
Cook the mixture uncovered for 15-18 minutes. As the spaghetti noodles start to soften, stir the pot every few minutes, especially toward the end of cooking, to prevent the noodles from sticking to the bottom.
Once the noodles are cooked through, remove the pot from heat and toss the sesame seeds into the noodles. Serve immediately, garnishing with more sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
