Ingredients
For the marinade:
1/2 cup orange juice 🍊
1/4 cup soy sauce 🍶
1/4 cup honey 🍯
2 cloves garlic, minced 🧄
1 tbsp ginger, grated 🌿
2 tbsp rice vinegar 🍚
1 tbsp sesame oil 🌰
1 tsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening) 🌽
For the salmon:
4 salmon fillets 🐟
2 tbsp olive oil 🫒
1/4 cup sliced green onions 🧅
Sesame seeds for garnish 🌾
Orange slices for garnish 🍊
Instructions
1️⃣ In a bowl, whisk together orange juice, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with a bit of water and add to the marinade. 🍯
2️⃣ Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour half of the marinade over them. Let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. 🐟❄️
3️⃣ Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). 🔥
4️⃣ Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the salmon fillets for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. 🫒
5️⃣ Pour the remaining marinade over the salmon and transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through. 🕒
