Peach Dumplings

Description

These Peach Dumplings are a delightful combination of warm, buttery crescent rolls and sweet, juicy peaches. The tender peach slices are wrapped in flaky pastry, then baked to golden perfection, creating a comforting dessert that’s both simple and satisfying. The cinnamon-sugar butter mixture adds a rich, sweet flavor that pairs perfectly with the tartness of the peach, while the lemon-lime soda creates a caramelized sauce that keeps the dumplings moist and flavorful.

Ingredients

Scale

1 large peach
1 (8-ounce) 8-count tube of refrigerated crescent rolls
½ cup butter, melted
¾ cup sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 ½ tablespoons all-purpose flour
¾ cup lemon-lime soda

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray an 8×8-inch glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Peel the peach and slice it into eight wedges, discarding the pit.
Open the tube of crescent rolls and unroll them. Place one peach slice on the wide end of a crescent roll and carefully roll it up. Place the rolled peach dumpling in the prepared baking dish. Repeat with the remaining peach slices and crescent rolls.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, sugar, cinnamon, and flour, mixing until just combined. Spoon the mixture over the top of each crescent-wrapped peach.
Pour the lemon-lime soda into the empty spaces between the dumplings, being careful not to pour it directly on top of the dumplings.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the dumplings are bubbly.
Serve warm with fresh whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent treat.
