This Pear Naan Pizza with Honey Whipped Goat Cheese is a delightful twist on traditional pizza, combining sweet and savory flavors in a unique and delicious way. The creamy chèvre, caramelized onions, and roasted pears create a perfect harmony of tastes, all enhanced by the fresh thyme and a drizzle of honey. It’s an easy yet gourmet dish that’s perfect for a special dinner or a quick weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale

1 Bosc pear, peeled and thinly sliced
1/2 tablespoon butter
8 ounces chèvre (goat cheese)
1/4 cup sweet onion, chopped
1 teaspoon sugar
Dash of salt
3 tablespoons olive oil
15 sprigs fresh thyme
4 tablespoons honey
2 pieces of naan bread

Instructions

In a medium skillet, sauté the chopped onions in 1 tablespoon of olive oil with the sugar and a dash of salt over medium heat until the onions are browned and caramelized. Set aside.
In the same pan, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add the sliced pears and cook for about 10 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until the pears are soft and lightly roasted. Set aside.
Combine 3 sprigs of thyme with 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a small bowl. Let the mixture sit for at least 5 minutes to infuse the oil with the thyme flavor.
Prepare the honey whipped chèvre by mixing the chèvre with 2 tablespoons of honey and the leaves from 5 sprigs of thyme. Stir until smooth and well combined.
Preheat your oven to 400°F.
Brush each piece of naan with the thyme-infused olive oil. Spread the honey whipped chèvre evenly over the naan.
Top with the caramelized onions and roasted pears.
Bake the naan pizzas in the preheated oven for about 8 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.
Remove from the oven and top with the remaining thyme sprigs and a drizzle of the remaining honey.
