Description
These Pecan Pie Brownies combine the best of both worlds—a rich, fudgy brownie base topped with a sweet and crunchy pecan pie layer. The gooey chocolate brownie pairs perfectly with the caramel-like pecan filling, making every bite an indulgent experience. The pecans add the right amount of crunch to balance the softness of the brownie, creating a delightful texture contrast.
Ingredients
1 box family-size brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on the box to prepare)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups corn syrup
4 eggs
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups pecans, chopped or whole
Instructions
Prepare the Brownie Base:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan and set aside.
Prepare the brownie batter according to the directions on the box.
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes (or 10 minutes less than the package directions indicate).
Make the Pecan Pie Filling:
While the brownies are baking, whisk together the sugar, corn syrup, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract in a medium-sized bowl.
Stir in the pecans, ensuring they are evenly coated.
Layer the Pecan Pie Filling:
After the brownies have partially baked, remove them from the oven.
Pour the pecan pie filling over the brownie layer, spreading it evenly.
Finish Baking:
Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 25 to 35 minutes, or until the pecan pie layer is mostly set and only slightly jiggles in the middle when you move the pan.
Cool and Serve:
Allow the brownies to cool to room temperature before cutting them into 20 squares.
Serve and enjoy these rich, decadent Pecan Pie Brownies!
