Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 4 cups confectioners sugar
  • 1 pound chocolate almond bark
  • Sprinkles (optional for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper. Ensure there is enough space in your freezer for the sheet.
  2. Mix Milk and Extract: In a large bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk with the peppermint extract.
  3. Add Sugar: Gradually mix in the confectioners sugar using an electric mixer until a stiff, non-sticky dough forms.
  4. Shape the Peppermints: Roll the dough into balls, place them on the prepared sheet, and flatten into thick discs.
  5. Freezing: Freeze the tray of mint discs for 1 hour to firm up.
  6. Melt Chocolate: Microwave the chocolate almond bark in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely melted and smooth.
  7. Dip the Discs: Quickly dip each peppermint disc into the melted chocolate, remove excess by shaking or scraping on the bowl’s edge, and return to the baking sheet.
  8. Add Sprinkles: If using sprinkles, apply them immediately after dipping each disc while the chocolate is still wet.
  9. Set the Chocolate: Allow the chocolate to solidify completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator before serving.
