Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 ounces white chocolate chips
  • 12 peppermint candy canes

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Prepare Your Workspace Place a long strip of parchment or wax paper on your countertop to prepare for the bark setup.
  2. Step 2: Crush the Candy Canes Peel the wrappers from the candy canes and place them in a large zip-top bag. Use a rolling pin or a flat side of a meat mallet to crush the candy canes into a mixture of larger pieces and fine powder.
  3. Step 3: Separate Candy Cane Pieces Employ a fine mesh strainer to sift out the fine powder from the larger candy cane pieces. Keep the dust in a separate bowl and reserve the larger pieces for later use.
  4. Step 4: Melt the Chocolate Put the white chocolate chips in a large glass bowl. Microwave them in 30-second increments, stirring after each interval, until completely melted, approximately 2 minutes total.
  5. Step 5: Combine Chocolate and Candy Cane Dust Swiftly mix the candy cane dust into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it is thoroughly combined while the chocolate is still hot.
  6. Step 6: Spread the Mixture Pour the chocolate mixture onto the prepared parchment paper. Spread into a thin, even layer using a spatula or the back of a spoon.
  7. Step 7: Add Candy Cane Chunks Sprinkle the larger candy cane chunks over the spread chocolate. Gently press them into the chocolate to ensure they stick.
  8. Step 8: Let It Set Allow the bark to cool completely at room temperature. Once set, break or cut into desired pieces.
