This recipe offers a creative twist on traditional pasta dishes, incorporating thinly sliced beef steak, sautéed vegetables, and melted provolone cheese. Ideal for a hearty dinner, this dish is both satisfying and flavorful, making it a perfect choice for family meals or casual dining occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (12 oz) cheese tortellini
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 pound thinly sliced beef steak
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tortellini: Cook the cheese tortellini according to the package directions. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside.
  2. Sauté the Vegetables: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms, sautéing until the vegetables are tender.
  3. Cook the Beef: Increase the skillet’s heat to medium-high and add the beef steak slices. Season with salt and pepper. Continue to cook until the beef is thoroughly browned.
  4. Add Liquids: Stir in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, bringing the mixture to a simmer. Allow to cook for approximately 5 minutes or until the liquid slightly reduces.
  5. Combine and Melt Cheese: Reduce the heat to low. Add the previously cooked tortellini to the skillet and toss everything to combine well. Sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese over the top and cover the skillet until the cheese has melted.
