Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350F (175C). Grease and flour two 9×5-inch loaf pans alternatively, use 8×5 pans for a taller loaf.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, whisk the sugar, eggs, and oil until the mixture is smooth and well-combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Mix in the pumpkin puree and water until the batter is smooth.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared loaf pans and bake for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Check at 1 hour and extend the baking time by 10-15 minutes if necessary.
