  • 1 can raspberry pie filling
  • 2 refrigerated pie crusts
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  1. Start by setting out the refrigerated pie crusts to come to room temperature. This makes the crusts easier to handle and more pliable for cutting and shaping.
  2. Preheat your oven to 425°F to ensure it’s ready for baking as soon as your pies are prepared.
  3. In a small bowl, beat one egg and set it aside. This will be used later to give the pies a beautiful golden finish.
  4. Using a 4-inch biscuit cutter, cut out five to six circles from each pie crust. You should end up with about 10 to 12 dough circles ready for filling.
  5. Place a tablespoon of raspberry pie filling in the center of each dough circle. It’s important to stick to this amount to prevent overflow during baking.
  6. Fold each dough circle in half over the filling and press the edges together. Seal these edges by crimping with a fork, which also creates a pretty pattern.
