  • Author: Dulcia
  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders 1x

Description

Introducing the Reuben Sliders Delight – a mouthwatering take on the classic Reuben sandwich, conveniently transformed into bite-sized sliders. These sliders incorporate the same beloved flavors of corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing, all sandwiched between soft Hawaiian rolls. Ideal for gatherings, sports events, or a cozy night in, these sliders are both delectable and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 14 ounces canned sauerkraut
  • 2 tablespoons Russian dressing or Thousand Island, plus more for dipping
  • ½ teaspoon caraway seeds (optional)
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • ½ pound thinly sliced deli corned beef
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 & ½ tablespoons dried onion soup mix
  • ½ teaspoon poppy seeds
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Oven and Sauerkraut Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C). Drain the sauerkraut thoroughly, then squeeze it dry using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels to remove excess moisture. This step ensures the sliders won’t become soggy.
  2. Mix Sauerkraut with Dressing In a medium bowl, combine the drained sauerkraut with Russian dressing and caraway seeds if using. Mix well to blend the flavors.
  3. Prep the Rolls Take your Hawaiian rolls and slice them in half horizontally to create tops and bottoms. Place the bottom halves in an 11×7 inch baking dish, cut side up.
  4. Layer Ingredients Start by layering 4 slices of Swiss cheese over the rolls. Follow with an even layer of corned beef, then spread the sauerkraut mixture. Top with the remaining 4 slices of Swiss cheese. Cap off with the top halves of the rolls.
  5. Add the Finishing Touches In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, onion soup mix, and poppy seeds. Generously brush this mixture over the tops of the rolls, ensuring they are well coated.
  6. Bake Cover the dish with nonstick foil or foil sprayed with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Bake covered for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5 minutes, or until the tops are toasted and golden brown.
