Ingredients
1 pound pizza dough
1 tablespoon butter
8 cloves roasted garlic, minced
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ cup skim milk
¼ cup half and half
¼ cup Parmesan cheese
1 ½ cups boneless skinless chicken breast, cooked and shredded
¼ cup red onion, diced
¾ cup Mozzarella cheese
1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
½ teaspoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 450°F. Prepare a baking sheet with a silicone mat or grease and sprinkle with cornmeal.
Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add minced roasted garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
Stir in the flour and cook for an additional minute until well blended.
Slowly whisk in skim milk and half and half, add black pepper, and cook, stirring continuously, until the sauce thickens, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth.
Roll out pizza dough into a roughly 12-inch circle on the prepared baking sheet. Spread the white sauce evenly over the dough.
Top with cooked and shredded chicken, diced red onion, and Mozzarella cheese.
Bake for 17 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
Remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh thyme, dried oregano, and fresh parsley.
Cut into slices and serve immediately.
