Rolo Pretzel Treats

  • Author: Dulcia
  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 40 Rolo Pretzel Treats 1x

Description

The Rolo Pretzel Treats are a delightful combination of sweet and salty, creating a perfect bite-sized snack that is ideal for holiday gatherings, parties, or simply as a fun snack to enjoy any day. This easy-to-make recipe involves sandwiching a melted Rolo between two pretzels and then dipping them in white vanilla coating sprinkled with festive decorations. Not only are they visually appealing and delicious, but they also come together with minimal hassle and ingredients, making them an excellent choice for last-minute preparations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 80 pretzel snaps (alternatively, mini twists or waffle rounds can be used)
  • 40 milk chocolate Rolos
  • 10 oz bag Ghirardelli white vanilla melting wafers
  • ¼ cup Christmas sprinkles mix

Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and lay out 40 pretzel snaps in a single layer on the sheet.
  2. Top each pretzel snap with an unwrapped Rolo. Place the tray in the preheated oven for about 3-4 minutes, just until the Rolos soften — not melt.
  3. Remove the tray from the oven. Quickly top each softened Rolo with another pretzel and gently press down to flatten, making sure not to push too hard to avoid excessive oozing of the chocolate.
  4. Transfer the tray to the refrigerator and let the pretzel sandwiches chill for about 20 minutes to firm up the chocolate.
  5. While the sandwiches are chilling, melt the Ghirardelli white vanilla wafers in the microwave using defrost or low setting in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth and silky.
  6. Remove the pretzel sandwiches from the refrigerator and dip each one halfway into the melted vanilla wafers. Shake off any excess, place back on the baking sheet, and sprinkle immediately with Christmas sprinkles.
  7. Once all sandwiches are dipped and decorated, place them back in the fridge for about 10-20 minutes to ensure the coating sets completely.
