Description

The Sakura Latte is a delightful and elegant drink that captures the essence of spring in every sip. The subtle floral notes of the cherry blossom are perfectly balanced with the creamy richness of the milk, making this latte a soothing and aromatic treat. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a moment of tranquility or impress your guests with a unique beverage, the Sakura Latte is a beautiful and flavorful choice.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup (240 ml / 8 fl oz) milk (dairy or dairy-free)
2 tablespoons Sakura powder, plus more for garnish
1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup)
¼ cup (60 ml / 2 fl oz) heavy cream (optional)

Instructions

Warm the Milk: Pour the milk into a small saucepan and add the Sakura powder. Cook over medium-high heat on the stovetop until the milk is warm and begins to steam, about 5 to 7 minutes. Whisk constantly to dissolve the Sakura powder into the liquid. Taste the milk, and if you desire a stronger flavor, add another tablespoon of Sakura powder.
Add Sweetener: Remove the milk from the stovetop and stir in the honey or your preferred sweetener. Start with 1 tablespoon of honey and add more if desired.
Whip the Cream (Optional): Place the cream into a small, cold bowl. Use a milk frother or small whisk to whip the cream until it becomes frothy and foamy. The goal is to fluff up the cream, not to form peaks.
Assemble: Pour the warm cherry blossom milk into a cup or mug. Gently spoon the foamy cream over the milk using a large tablespoon. Garnish with a sprinkle of Sakura powder on top.
Serve: Enjoy your Sakura latte warm!
