Ingredients

Scale

1 lb breakfast sausage (regular or your choice of flavor)
8 oz cream cheese, softened
2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent rolls
Optional: egg wash (1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon water) for a golden finish

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbled, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
Mix sausage with softened cream cheese until well combined.
Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles. For smaller servings, cut each triangle in half lengthwise.
Spoon sausage mixture onto the wider end of each dough triangle.
Roll up starting at the wide end, tucking the ends to encase the filling.
Place crescents on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, not touching.
Optional: Brush with egg wash for a golden finish.
Bake 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
