  • 3 tbsp Sofrito (homemade or store-bought)
  • 7 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Adobo (adjust as needed)
  • 2 tsp Pepper
  • 2 tsp Rosemary
  • 3 tsp Oregano
  • 1 stick Butter (melted)
  • 1 packet Sazon
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 3 tbsp Lemon Juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Turkey: Rinse the turkey thoroughly and pat it dry with paper towels to ensure the surface is ready for seasoning.
  2. Season the Cavity: Mix 1 teaspoon of pepper, 2 teaspoons of rosemary, 2 teaspoons of oregano, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 2 minced garlic cloves. Place this mixture inside the turkey’s cavity.
  3. Prepare the Sofrito Mixture: Melt the stick of butter and combine it with the sofrito in a bowl. To this mixture, add the remaining pepper, adobo, lemon juice, and 5 minced or pressed garlic cloves, blending well.
  4. Season the Turkey: Separate the skin from the turkey’s breast carefully and make small slits in the thighs and legs. Spoon some of the sofrito mixture into these slits and then rub the rest of the mixture all over the turkey’s outer skin, ensuring even coverage.
