Description
This Sheet Pan Lemon Garlic Butter Salmon combines the richness of butter with the bright tang of lemon and the warmth of garlic, making it a perfect quick and easy dinner. As the salmon bakes in its foil packet, the buttery juices seep into the fish, keeping it moist while infusing every bite with irresistible flavors.
Ingredients
About 1.5 to 1.75 pounds skin-on salmon fillet
1 lemon, sliced into thin rounds
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
3 tablespoons lemon juice, from about 1 lemon
2 to 3 tablespoons honey
5 cloves garlic, finely pressed or minced
1 teaspoon kosher salt, or to taste
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Place salmon on a sheet of foil, skin-side down, with the longer side parallel to the longer side of the sheet pan. Raise the edges of the foil to create a barrier for the buttery mixture.
Arrange lemon slices evenly underneath the salmon.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in lemon juice, honey, and garlic. Pour or spoon three-quarters of the mixture over the salmon, reserving the rest.
Season the salmon with salt and pepper.
Seal the foil tightly over the salmon (you may need an additional piece of foil), creating a foil packet. Set aside for 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to marinate if desired.
Place the foil packet on a baking sheet and bake for 17 minutes.
Remove the top of the foil or open the packet. Broil the salmon for 5-10 minutes, spooning over the reserved buttery mixture as needed, until golden and fully cooked.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
