Ingredients
Marinate the Shrimp:
14 oz (400 grams) Shrimp
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp paprika
1/3 tsp black pepper
2 tsp vegetable oil
Make the Sauce:
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp sugar
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tbsp hoisin sauce
2 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp dark soy sauce
Others:
2–3 tbsp vegetable oil for stir-frying
12 oz (340 grams) broccoli
8 cloves garlic, diced
1/2 tbsp minced ginger
A few red dried chilies (optional)
2 tbsp water

Instructions
Marinate the shrimp: Pat dry with paper towels, season with salt, paprika, black pepper, and vegetable oil. Mix well and set aside.
Prepare the sauce: Mix water, sugar, oyster sauce, soy sauces, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch. Set aside.
Prepare the broccoli: Cut into florets, optionally using stems after peeling and quartering. Consider pickling the stems for an added treat.
Prep garlic and ginger: Dice garlic, mince ginger, and optionally prepare red chilies.
Heat the wok: Over high heat until smoking, then coat with vegetable oil.
Stir fry the shrimp: Cook until pink and slightly translucent inside. Remove from wok.
Stir fry vegetables: In the same wok, sauté garlic, ginger, chilies (if using), and broccoli.
Steam broccoli: Add water and cover to steam briefly.
Combine and cook: Return shrimp to wok with sauce. Cook until sauce thickens.
Serve: Enjoy hot, directly from the wok.
