Ingredients

Scale

8 oz spaghetti
4 Tbsp butter, divided
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 Tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp all-purpose flour
3 Tbsp freshly grated parmesan
2 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

In a large pot of boiling water, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions; drain and reserve 1 cup of pasta water. Set aside.
In a large pan over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the shrimp, salt, and crushed red pepper; cook until shrimp turns pink and opaque, about 3 minutes. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter along with the garlic; cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Stir in the lemon juice, reserved pasta water, parmesan cheese, and flour until combined.
Add the cooked spaghetti and shrimp back into the pan; toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
Serve topped with additional parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
