Simple Mango Sorbet

  • Author: Dulcia
  • Total Time: 2 hours 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Description

Mango Sorbet is the epitome of simplicity and flavor, marrying the natural sweetness of ripe mangos with the subtle tartness of lime and the rich undertones of maple syrup. This three-ingredient wonder is a perfect escape to tropical bliss without the need for an ice cream maker.

Ingredients

Scale

4 heaping cups frozen mango (~two 10-oz bags)
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 Tbsp fresh lime juice

Instructions

Place frozen mango in a food processor and pulse until you achieve small shreds.
Scrape down the sides and add the maple syrup and lime juice.
Mix again until the food processor runs smoothly, scraping down the sides as needed.
Once there are very few mango pieces visible, keep the processor running for at least 1 minute to achieve the creamiest consistency possible.
Enjoy immediately for a soft texture, or for a firmer sorbet, transfer to a sealed container and freeze for 2-3 hours. If frozen longer, thaw for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
