Ingredients
6 large potatoes, thinly sliced
1 packet of Lipton Onion Soup mix
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
1/2 cup chicken broth or water
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking spray or butter for greasing
Instructions
Grease the inside of your slow cooker with cooking spray or butter.
Wash, peel (optional), and thinly slice the potatoes.
In a bowl, mix potatoes with melted butter and Lipton Onion Soup mix until well coated.
Add shredded cheddar cheese if using and mix again.
Layer the potatoes in the slow cooker and pour chicken broth or water over them.
Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
Season with salt and pepper, adjust to taste.
