Ingredients
2 pounds sirloin steak, sliced into thin strips
⅔ cup water
⅓ cup soy sauce
2 tbsp rice vinegar
2 tbsp light brown sugar
3 tbsp honey
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
2 tsp garlic, minced
For the sauce: 3 tbsp cornstarch mixed with ⅓ cup water
Instructions
Place the sliced sirloin steak in your slow cooker.
In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, water, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced ginger, minced garlic, and honey. Mix well.
Pour the sauce mixture over the steak in the slow cooker.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until the beef is tender.
About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the cornstarch-water mixture to thicken the sauce. For the remaining time, cook on high.
