Ingredients
1/2 tablespoon sesame oil 🥡
3 tablespoons neutral oil (vegetable, peanut, canola) 🌾
2 tablespoons unsalted butter 🧈
3 green onions, white part and green part separated 🧅
1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons garlic, finely minced 🧄
1 tablespoon red pepper flakes, more to taste 🌶️
1 to 2 teaspoons mild chili powder 🌶️
3 tablespoons parmesan, grated 🧀
3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce 🥢
1 teaspoon light brown sugar, more to taste 🍬
Salt to taste 🧂
6 to 8 ounces knife-cut noodles 🍜
Instructions
1️⃣ Boil the noodles according to package directions. 🍜
2️⃣ In a bowl, add the green onion, garlic, red pepper flakes, chili powder, soy sauce, parmesan, brown sugar, and salt to taste. Set aside. 🥣
3️⃣ To a saucepan over medium-high heat, add the sesame oil, neutral oil, and butter. Heat the oils until very hot and sizzling. 🔥
4️⃣ Take off the heat and carefully pour over the bowl with the garlic, onion, and chili. It should bubble. Mix all together. 🔄
5️⃣ Add to the noodles and toss. Taste and adjust anything to your liking. Add the green onions and more parmesan along with chili flakes if you want it spicier. 🌶️🧅🧀
