3 tablespoons neutral oil (vegetable, peanut, canola) πΎ
2 tablespoons unsalted butter π§
3 green onions, white part and green part separated π§
1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons garlic, finely minced π§
1 tablespoon red pepper flakes, more to taste πΆοΈ
1 to 2 teaspoons mild chili powder πΆοΈ
3 tablespoons parmesan, grated π§
3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce π₯’
1 teaspoon light brown sugar, more to taste π¬
Salt to taste π§
6 to 8 ounces knife-cut noodles π
Instructions
1οΈβ£ Boil the noodles according to package directions. π
2οΈβ£ In a bowl, add the green onion, garlic, red pepper flakes, chili powder, soy sauce, parmesan, brown sugar, and salt to taste. Set aside. π₯£
3οΈβ£ To a saucepan over medium-high heat, add the sesame oil, neutral oil, and butter. Heat the oils until very hot and sizzling. π₯
4οΈβ£ Take off the heat and carefully pour over the bowl with the garlic, onion, and chili. It should bubble. Mix all together. π
5οΈβ£ Add to the noodles and toss. Taste and adjust anything to your liking. Add the green onions and more parmesan along with chili flakes if you want it spicier. πΆοΈπ§ π§
