Description

Introducing the Spinach and Mozzarella-Stuffed Meatballs— a dish that perfectly combines the nutrients of spinach with the gooey richness of mozzarella, enveloped in succulently seasoned meats. Whether you’re prepping a cozy family dinner or looking for a crowd-pleasing appetizer, these meatballs are sure to impress.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 lb ground beef or a mix of beef and pork
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, chopped spinach, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir until just combined.
  2. Form the Meatballs: Take about 1-2 tablespoons of the mixture, flatten it in your palm, place a mozzarella cube in the center, then wrap the meat around the cheese, sealing it well. Roll the stuffed meat mixture into a ball shape. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
  3. Cook the Meatballs: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the meatballs in batches to avoid overcrowding, about 4-5 minutes per side, until they are evenly browned and cooked through.
