Description

As summer reaches its peak, so does the flavor of fresh sweet corn. Grilled to perfection, this simple yet delightful dish captures the essence of summer in each buttery bite. The charred husks add a smoky aroma that complements the sweet, tender kernels. It’s a timeless classic that’s perfect for any outdoor gathering or quiet summer evening.

Ingredients

Scale

6 ears of Sweet Corn
Water for soaking
Butter, to taste
Seasoning (salt, pepper, paprika), to taste

Instructions

Remove the top 2 layers of husk from each ear of sweet corn, leaving some for protection during grilling.
Soak the corn in a large container of water for 60 minutes, ensuring they are fully submerged.
Preheat the grill to 450°F (232°C).
Remove the corn from the water and place it directly on the grill over direct heat.
Grill the corn for about 20 minutes, turning every 5 minutes to evenly char the husks.
Once grilled, remove from heat and let cool until they can be handled safely.
Peel back the husks, slather with butter, and season as desired.
