Description

The Tahini Cardamom Oat Fudge Bars bring a unique combination of Middle Eastern flavors and classic dessert elements together in one delicious treat. The earthy bitterness of tahini beautifully complements the sweetness of the chocolate, while cardamom adds a hint of spice that enhances the overall flavor profile. This dessert not only satisfies your sweet tooth but also offers a wholesome experience thanks to its oat-based layers.

Crafted with health-conscious ingredients, these bars are a great alternative for anyone looking to indulge without the guilt. They are perfect for sharing at gatherings, gifting during special occasions, or enjoying as a personal treat. The bars maintain a wonderful texture that is both chewy from the oats and smooth from the fudge, ensuring every bite is as delightful as the last.

Ingredients

Scale

Oat Layer:
2/3 cup tahini
1/3 cup maple syrup
2 cups oats
1/2 cup oat flour
1/2 cup almond flour
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
Pinch of salt
Fudge Layer:
1/4 cup coconut milk
2 tablespoons tahini
1 cup chocolate chips (sweetened to your preference)

Instructions

Oat Layer: In a bowl, combine tahini and maple syrup until smooth. Add in cardamom and salt and incorporate well. Mix in the remaining dry ingredients until well combined. Press half the oat mixture into a parchment-lined loaf pan, flattening evenly. Set aside.
Fudge Layer: In a heatproof bowl, stir together coconut milk and tahini. Add chocolate chips. Melt these ingredients in a microwave or using the double boiler method. If using a microwave, heat in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until chocolate is melted into the milky tahini. Once combined, allow the mixture to cool to a thickened, spreadable consistency. Spread the fudge layer over the oat base. Top with the remaining oat mixture and press evenly.
Place in the fridge until firm, then cut into bars or squares. Enjoy!
