Description

Tiramisu is a classic Italian dessert that perfectly balances the rich flavors of espresso and the creaminess of mascarpone. This indulgent treat features layers of espresso-soaked Lady Fingers, delicately enveloped in a smooth mascarpone cream, and finished with a generous dusting of cocoa powder. Each bite delivers a heavenly combination of flavors that will satisfy any coffee lover’s sweet tooth.

Ingredients

Scale

1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
8-ounce container mascarpone cheese, room temperature
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups cold espresso
3 tablespoons coffee-flavored liqueur (optional, Kahlua or DaVinci)
1 package Lady Fingers (Savoiardi brand)
Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

Whip the Cream: In a mixing bowl, add the heavy whipping cream. Beat on medium speed with an electric mixer (or use a stand mixer). Gradually add the granulated sugar and vanilla extract while beating. Continue to beat until stiff peaks form.
Prepare the Mascarpone Mixture: Gently fold the room temperature mascarpone cheese into the whipped cream mixture until fully combined. Set aside.
Dip the Lady Fingers: In a shallow bowl, mix together the cold espresso and coffee-flavored liqueur (if using). Quickly dip each Lady Finger into the coffee mixture, making sure not to soak them—just a quick dip on each side to get them wet.
Assemble the Tiramisu: Arrange a single layer of dipped Lady Fingers at the bottom of an 8×8-inch (or similar size) pan. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the Lady Fingers. Add another layer of dipped Lady Fingers on top, followed by the remaining mascarpone cream, spreading it evenly.
Dust with Cocoa Powder: Using a fine mesh strainer, generously dust the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder.
Chill: Refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 3-4 hours, or preferably overnight, before serving.
