- 1 (20-ounce) package three-cheese tortellini, boiled al dente
- 1¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 5 large eggs
- 5 tablespoons milk
- 2½ cups Panko bread crumbs
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon red chili pepper flakes
- Sea salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Drizzle of melted butter
- Additional grated Parmesan cheese
- Red chili flakes
- Minced Italian parsley
- 1 (23.5-ounce) jar classic marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
- Prepare three separate bowls for breading the tortellini: Bowl #1 with flour, Bowl #2 with whisked eggs and milk, and Bowl #3 with Panko bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, oregano, red chili flakes, sea salt, and black pepper.
- Coat each piece of tortellini in flour, then dip into the egg and milk mixture, and coat in the Panko mixture. Place on baking sheets and bake for 14–15 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
- Arrange the baked tortellini on a serving tray, drizzle with melted butter, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, red chili flakes, and minced parsley. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
