Instructions

Brown the Butter: Melt butter in a small, heavy saucepan over medium heat. Use a thick-bottomed pan to prevent burning. Stir constantly for about 6 to 8 minutes until the butter turns golden brown and smells like toasted nuts.
Prepare the Dough: Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, baking soda, salt, and 1 ½ cups chocolate chips. In another bowl, blend the browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar on medium speed for 60 seconds. Add eggs and vanilla, beat for 30 more seconds. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients on low speed until the dough is thick.
Bake: Press the dough into an even layer in a 10.25-inch cast iron skillet. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
