Description

Dive into the refreshing world of Vanilla Lavender Limeade, a drink that combines the tartness of fresh citrus with the soothing notes of lavender and a hint of vanilla. This limeade is not only a thirst-quencher but also a feast for the eyes, especially if you opt to add a splash of neon purple food coloring. It’s the perfect beverage to serve at any summer gathering or to simply enjoy on a lazy afternoon.

Ingredients

Scale

6 limes
1 lemon
2 tablespoons culinary lavender
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups boiling water
4 cups cold water
Optional: Neon purple food coloring (1-3 drops)
Ice and lavender buds for garnish

Instructions

Juice the limes and lemon, and set the juice aside.
Boil 2 cups of water and pour over the lavender placed in a fine mesh strainer to create lavender-infused water. Add food coloring if using, then set aside to cool.
In a saucepan, combine sugar, vanilla extract, and 4 cups of cold water. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, until the sugar completely dissolves. Remove from heat.
In a 2-quart pitcher, combine the sugar syrup with the lime and lemon juice.
Add the lavender water to the pitcher and stir well.
Add 1-2 cups of ice to the pitcher to chill.
Serve immediately, garnishing each glass with a few lavender buds for a touch of elegance.
