White Garlic Pizza

Garlic Pizza Sauce Ingredients:
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1¼ cups whole milk
¼ teaspoon sea salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
3 teaspoons of jarred minced garlic or 3 cloves finely chopped
¼ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
Pizza Ingredients:
1 homemade or store-bought pizza crust
8 oz low moisture mozzarella cheese, grated
½ cup garlic pizza sauce (recipe above)
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon olive oil
Garnish: 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chiffonade


Instructions

Garlic Pizza Sauce Instructions:
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.
Whisk in flour and continue for about 2 minutes without browning.
Gradually whisk in milk until smooth, thick, and bubbly (3-5 minutes).
Add sea salt, black pepper, and minced garlic, whisking to combine.
Stir in parmesan cheese until just melted. Remove from heat and set aside to cool or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
Pizza Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 450ºF (232ºC).
Roll out the pizza crust on a 12-14″ pizza pan. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle Italian seasoning.
Spread the prepared garlic sauce over the crust, then top with mozzarella and parmesan cheeses.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the crust is cooked and cheeses are melted.
Garnish with fresh basil.
