Description

Baked tilapia topped with a garlic lemon butter sauce and fresh parsley.


Ingredients

  • Tilapia filets
  • Kosher salt
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • Butter
  • Garlic, minced
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Lemons (zested, sliced, and juiced)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400?F and place tilapia in a baking dish; season both sides with salt and pepper and set aside.
  2. Prepare ingredients: zest, slice, and juice the lemons and mince the garlic.
  3. Mix lemon zest, lemon juice, minced garlic, butter, and red pepper flakes (if using) together.
  4. Pour the garlic lemon butter over the tilapia and place lemon rounds on top of each filet.
  5. Bake until the internal temperature reaches 145?F, about 10?20 minutes; start checking at 10 minutes, when the fish should be opaque and flake easily with a fork.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
