Ingredients
12 ounces cream cheese, softened π§
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder π§
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning πΏ
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes πΆοΈ
1 3/4 cups freshly grated Mozzarella cheese, divided π§
1/2 cup freshly shredded or grated Parmesan cheese π§
1 pound spicy Italian sausage, cooked and drained π
15 ounce can diced tomatoes, drained π
3/4 cup pepperoncinis, drained and diced πΆοΈ
Fresh chopped basil for garnish πΏ
Crostini, toasted bread, or crackers for dipping π₯
Instructions
1οΈβ£ Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Spray a 2 Β½ quart (or 11-inch oval) baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and set aside. π₯
2οΈβ£ Combine all ingredients together in a bowl, except for 3/4 cup of Mozzarella and the basil. Mix well. π²
3οΈβ£ Spread the sausage dip into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the reserved Mozzarella on top. Add a little extra Italian seasoning if desired. πΏ
4οΈβ£ Bake at 350Β°F for 20 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly. For additional browning of the cheese, switch to the broiler during the last few minutes, but watch closely as it can burn quickly. β³
5οΈβ£ Garnish with fresh chopped basil, if desired. πΏ
6οΈβ£ Serve with crostini or crackers for dipping. Enjoy! π₯π
